Blue Jackets: CBJ host rival Penguins as Jacket Ian Cole faces old mates

COLUMBUS -- Potential playoff matchups are for sale Friday by the Jackets. They just need a point Thursday night against the Penguins to clinch the franchises fourth ever playoff berth and first back to back postseason trips in club history.

Acquired at the trade deadline, Ian Cole adds some spice to the Pens-Jackets rivalry, saying Thursday night prior to puck drop "it's time to cut those ties."

Cole played part of the last three seasons against the CBJ and watch in a Pittsburgh uniform in February when the Pens beat the Jackets.

Both teams are locked at 96 points on the season.
