Blue Jackets: CBJ taking their good will to the Furniture Bank of Central Ohio

COLUMBUS -- The Columbus Blue Jackets are getting into the joy of season by giving back to those less fortunate.

In the spirit of the holiday season, nearly 15 Blue Jackets players performed volunteer work at two basic needs charities. The team split their time between the Furniture Bank of Central Ohio and the Mid-Ohio Foodbank.

Players assembled furniture that will be provid free to central Ohio neighbors struggling to furnish their own homes as a result of severe poverty and other significant life challenges.

At the Mid-Ohio Foodbank, players will be sorting and packing frozen foods in preparation for distribution.

Take a look at our story and find out if the Jackets are indeed skilled labor.
