Blue Jackets fans look for team to expand on series lead Thursday night

Game 4 for the Columbus Blue Jackets is Thursday night. CBJ are clinging to a 2-1 lead so fans are anxiously awaiting a pivotal match.

The nerves and the excitement are what the playoffs are all about. The Blue Jackets have a shot at taking control of this series.

A few fans were seen outside Nationwide Arena noontime Thursday even though the game was still hours away from the first faceoff.

Several fans have been getting some last-minute playoff gear at the team store attached to the arena.

“I think it’s more likely, but it’s not guaranteed so I hope it happens,” said CBJ fan Kevin Valentin. “But whatever happens, I’m still proud of the Blue Jackets because these are good learning experiences.”

Nationwide Arena could be seen all decked out for the Blue Jackets’ run for the Stanley Cup. Chalk artists were seem sprucing up the plaza outside the arena. The bricks were in the process of being covered with team logos.

Team officials said there are a small number of tickets still available as of noon, but they are expecting a packed arena for Game 4.
