Crew SC trying to ignore relocation talk with Eastern Conference Championship Tuesday

OBETZ -- Focus the word at the Crew SC training center in Obetz.

While Columbus Mayor Andrew Ginther met with Owner Anthony Precourt and Major League Soccer Commissioner Don Garber in New York Wednesday with no progress to report, the team continues training with only passing interest, at least publicly, on the off-field distractions.

"I heard it," Crew SC captain Wil Trapp said following Thursday's practice. "Seemed like very differing views of what occured there but we have a huge game Tuesday and we're getting ready for that."

Sporting Director and Head Coach Gregg Berhalter said "it's clear we have a very big game coming up and that is our for the fans I would say come and be loud because we're going to need it."

The Crew SC hosts Toronto Tuesday night at 8 in the first leg of the Eastern Conference Championship.

Toronto has beaten the Crew the last two regular seasons in the quest for the Trillium Cup.
