South Carolina State basketball player revived by trainer after collapsing on bench
Multiple reports say a South Carolina State basketball player was revived by a trainer after he collapsed on the team's bench Saturday.
Video posted by NBC News showed EMTs performing CPR on the fallen player.
ESPN said South Carolina State guard Tyvoris Solomon was rushed to a hospital Saturday afternoon after his heart stopped during the Bulldogs' game against North Carolina State.
Per ESPN's Jeff Goodman, South Carolina State coach Murray Garvin said Solomon was "awake and responding" at Rex Hospital in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Goodman said the coach accompanied Solomon to the hospital, but the game resumed at 1 p.m. ET after a delay of approximately 40 minutes.
Garvin told Goodman that Solomon was resuscitated by South Carolina State's athletic trainer.
NC State ended up winning the game.
