Three teams from central Ohio had a shot making it to the state final in high school football. Each of them came up one win short.

St. Francis DeSales led the majority of their Division III state semifinal against reigning champs Akron Archbishop Hoban, but couldn't hang on as they lost 23-14 in Mansfield.

Coshocton couldn't keep up with four-time reigning champs Coldwater in a 33-14 loss in the Division V final four in Olentangy.

Harvest Prep's deepest run in the school history ended with a 48-7 loss to Warren JFK in the Division VII state semifinal in New Philadelphia.
