Branham Brothers continue to add football offers, inspired by knocks on the City League
COLUMBUS -- They are a whirling dervish of activity, rising at 4:45 am for workouts on Tuesday and Thursdays.
John Branham, Jr and younger brother, Kalil, will not let anyone outwork them. They come by that motivation honestly after being told by a close friend they wouldn't amount to anything as City League players as opposed to the more celebrated Ohio Capital Conference. John will be a senior running back at Northland this fall, brother Kalil a junior receiver for the Vikings.
"Seems like a lot of people don't have respect for the city (league)," John Branham, Jr. told ABC-6 Monday "but just because we might not have the same opportunities at the schools or organizations doesn't mean we don't have talent here."
The Branham brothers play football at Northland High School and according to their father, John Branham, Sr. have 15 commitable scholarship offers.
