The Football Fever: Barrett, teammates get more than they gave at James Cancer Hospital

COLUMBUS -- J. T. Barrett and five Buckeye teammates paid a visit to the James Cancer Hospital Monday, spending over two hours with patients.

The suprise came when they enterted the room of leukemia patient James Williams, who seemed to uplift the players instead of the other way around.

"It's great to be alive," Williams told Barrett and teammates Jeffrey Okudah and Jaylen Harris. "Then on top of that you get to meet other people and you want to transfer this other energy to others because we are here for a purpose."

Barrett was moved by Williams enthusiasm. "A lot of times you come to the hospital to see different people and you try to provide energy and get them in higher spirits but I think we left as the better people, " said the Buckeye quarterback.

Teammates Nick Bosa, Tuf Borland and Tracy Sprinkle were also part of the group who passed along their personal touch to patients.

The 6th ranked Buckeyes have an open date this weekend before hosting 2nd ranked Penn State Saturday October 28th at 3:30.
